Potts Point Terrace

GSA Planning worked closely with NK Architects and our client to achieve approvals for two Section 4.55 Modifications to this heritage terrace in Potts Point. The works were carefully designed to respect the heritage values of the dwelling and conservation area, with the incorporation of sympathetic materials and forms.

The first modification we were involved with included various internal modifications and works to the courtyard and balcony, however centred largely around the owner’s wish to reinstate the Butler’s Pantry.

The following modification was for a plunge pool in the rear courtyard. Through ongoing communication with the architect and client, and high level planning advice, we were able to achieve a desirable outcome. Our client will now have a new plunge pool that maintains amenity to neighbouring development, whilst enhancing the functionality and usability of the rear courtyard on a constrained site.
