In 2011, GSA Planning prepared a Planning Proposal, a site specific Local Environmental Plan (LEP) and Development Control Plan (DCP) to establish new planning controls for the Housing NSW land bounded by Cowper, Wentworth and Bay Street in Glebe. The Planning Proposal was approved, and the site-specific LEP and DCP implemented.
The objective of the Proposal was to permit the development of residential flat buildings on the subject site, between four storeys (15m) and ten storeys (33m) in height, with ground floor retail and approximately 480 dwellings that are a mix of social, affordable and private housing.
GSA also prepared a development application for demolition and remediation works.
