New South Head Road, Double Bay

GSA are pleased to have achieved another approval in Double Bay at the end of 2023. By working closely with SJB Architects, Mills Oakley and the client, we were able to secure an approval from the Land and Environment Court for substantial alterations and additions to this existing commercial building.

The approval results in a five storey built form with mezzanine level, offering new high quality retail, food and beverage and commercial opportunities on the site. The overall height, bulk and scale of the proposal responds to the evolving character of both the broader Double Bay Centre and the localised New South Head Road and laneway precincts. GSA successfully justified two LEP exceedances relating to height and FSR in the accompanying Clause 4.6 Variation Requests, to assist in achieving this outcome for the site.
